- The purpose of this study was to investigate the fertility performances of Brown Swiss cattle at Malya State Farm. A total of 1777 records were used within the period from 1988 to 1992.

The averages of the age at first insemination, the age at first calving, the number of inseminations per conception, service periods and calving intervals between 1988 to 1992 were 18.3 months, 29.0 months, 2.31, 128.0 days and 13.5 months respectively. At the same period, the conception rate of 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th and the more number of inseminations were 45.0, 22.3, 14.1, 7.5 and 11.1 % respectively.

For the reproduction traits there was significant differences among years. The number of inseminations per conception service periods and calving intervals were increased with the cow ages and calving number while the number of inseminations per conception was 1.96 at two ages, the same characteristic was 3.31 at ten ages group. The service periods were 92.9 days at three ages and 158.3 days at ten ages group. The differences among reproductive performances of bulls were found significant.
