² Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi, Ankara, Türkiye - In this study, effectiveness of erythropoietin addition to in vitro culture mediums on oxidative stress and embryo development was investigated. in vitro maturation and fertilization of oocytes from cow ovaries, cleaved oocyte ratios, reaching to blastocyst ratios, and biochemical parameters were evaluated using 3 trial groups with different doses of erythropoietin (0,5 μg, 0,25 μg, 0,125 μg /ml) to culture mediums and 1 control group without erythropoietin (no antioxidant). Morula and 48th hour cleaved oocyte ratios were significantly different between groups whereas differences regarding the other parameters were insignificant (p>0,05).
