Studies on the estimation of live weight of Morkaraman, Dağlıç, Sakız and Turkish Merino sheep by the means of body measurements

Our research material was 204 Turkish Merino ewe 100 Morkaraman ewe, 36 Morkaraman ram, 101 Dağlıç ewe and 75 Sakız ewe.

The results are obtained by statistical methods and they have shown sixteen tables.

The methods which we used for to find out the estimation of live weight are given the results with a little errors, according to our results that the estimation of live weight by one body measurement could be recomend for practice, the methods which we used in our study should be made on a large number of animals, acording to the large applications result could be used in practice by using the tape measurs.
