A study on the some characters of Dağlıç`s Wool

- Dağlıç is a breed of Turkish sheep which lives mostly at the Western part of Central Anatolia. Its population is 19.5 % of the total amount of Turkish sheep population. Approximately 6 million heads of Dağlıç sheep are raised in our country. The object of this study was to determine the wool characteristics of Dağlıç ewes.

Wool samples have been taken from fully growt Dağlıc ewes of various ages owned by the people in the provinces of Afyon, Uşak, Denizli, Isparta, Eskişehir and Çanakkale. 100 head of sheep have been sampled in each provinces and three samples for one animal; shoulder side and thigh. Keywords :
