DEĞİŞİK YAŞLARDAKİ ANKARA KEÇİLERİNDE ÇİFT KIRKIMIN TİFTİK KARAKTERLERİ VE ÇEŞİTLİ VERİMLERİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ
Experimen goats produced more mohair in the all ages groups; 66 g, 306 g, 488 g, 350 g respectively and also had longer staple (sum of the august and march measurement). Summer fleeces had more grease and clean weight and longer staple than winter fleeces out of the one year old. The live weights at the beginning and end of experiment given on the table 3.
Fiber diameter of all groups determined by wedge-scale method, and the mean values given on the table 6. There was no significant different between two groups. The percentage of clean fiber content for all groups given on the table 5. The yield of summer fleeces were higher than winter fleeces. The percentage of various fiber types determined by benzene method and the mean values given on the table 8. Summer fleeces had more kempy fiber. Fiber elasticity of summer fleeces were more tahn winter fleeces. There were no significant effect of twice shearing on the breaking and tensile strength of mohair and also pregnancy, fertility, kid production and mortality.
