Durations of estrus, estrus cycle and the optimum time for insemination in Angora Goat

- This work was carried out in Lalahan Zootechnical Research Intitut using 163 female and 3 male Angora Goats to determine the lenght of estrus, estrus cycle and the optimum insemination time for better fertility.

The average durations of estrus and estrus cycle were 35.18 hours and 20.57 days respectively. Nonreturne and kiddings rates at 0, 12 and 24 hours inseminations during estrus were 94.23 - 80.77, 94.34 - 84.90 and 86.54 - 75.00 % respectively. The overall averages of nonreturne and kidding rates vere 91.72 and 80.25 % respectively. Keywords :
