- This study has been done to find out the probable changes in skin folliçle number per unit area of skin, skin follicle ratio (S/P), hair follicle fibre diameter in microns and fibre diameter ratio (P/S) from birth up to the end of five months of age in Angora Goat kids.

As material 15 heads of (7 females and 8 males) Angora goat kids were used for the study. They were 1965 birth dated which their birth hours were close to each other, separated at random from the flock. But one of the kids died just before the experiment started so the study was carried out on 14 animals (7 females and 7 males).

Skin specimens were collected from the shoulder regions of animals as montly intervals, evaluated according to H.B. Carter and W.H. Clarke (1957) method.

Results of hair follicle numbers per unit area (one square millimeter of skin), the follicle ratio (S/P), fibre diameters as microns, fibre diameter ratio (P/S) from birth up to the end of 5 months of age were as follow. Keywords :
