The effect of starting time on fattening performance in Holstein bulls
The average intakes of feed (concentrates+roughages) and dry matter per kg live weight gain were 10.5, 9.3 and 11.5, 10.3 kg for the two groups in the above order.
The daily temperetures increased over 20°C in may and over 30°C in july.
İt was conduded that differences between the groups in respects of live weight gain, feed consumption and dry matter consumption were believed to be originated from the temperature differences in winter and summer season.
