The Effects of Stocking Density of Broilers on Their Performance

Data were obtained on 910 broilers housed in litter type pens
at densities of 12.5, 15, 17.5 and 20 broilers/m2. Body weight at 49
days old was 1634.3, 1511.7, 1506.5, 1503.9 and mortality was 6.2,
7.1, 7.7, 6.4 % and Feed efficiency was 1.97, 2.06, 2.07, 2.09 kg respectively.
