Genetic and Phenotypic Parameter Estimates For Birth Weight in Holstein Cattle Raised At Kahramanmaras State Farm

The least squares means of birth weight were 29.90 ± 0.90 kg.

Birth number, year and sex had a non-significant effect on birth weight.

Heritability and repeatability estimates for birth weight were 0.07 ± 0.02 and 0.36 ± 0.05. Keywords : Holstein, calf, birth weight, heritability, repeatability
