Experiments on Artiflcial Insemination in dogs of Various Breeds

The pregnancy rate was 66.6 % with fresh semen and 32 % with frozen semen. The pregnancy rate improved with an increase in the number of inseminations. 12 bitches were inseminated once only and 6 bitches were inseminated twice at 1 day intervals with fresh semen. 8 bitches were inseminated once and 17 bitches were inseminated twice with frozen semen. The pregnancy rates were 58.4 % and 83.4 % with fresh semen, 12.5 % and 41.2 % with frozen semen. Keywords :
