Growth and Development İn DAK calves weaned İn different periods

2 Atatürk Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Zootekni Bölümü, Erzurum - Eastern Anatolian Red Calves were fed milk whole milk at the level of 10 % of their birth weights and weaned at two different ages.

Weaning weights of the calves, weaned at 8 (group I), and 10 (grup II) weeks-ages, were found 31.7, 35.5 kg respectively. Daily weights gains in preweaning period; 245, 254 g. six month weights; 86.5, 88.1 kg, daily weight gains from birth to six month of age; 378, 385 g. Feed efficiency in pre-weaning period; 2.366, 2.430 were found respectively. Keywords :
