The study was carried out to investigate some body measurements of Akkaraman, Sakız (Chios) x Akkaraman F1
(SAF1) and Kıvırcık x Akkaraman F1 (KAF1) lambs and some production traits of yearling females. The least squares means
obtained for Akkaraman, SAF1 and KAF1 lambs were 52.13, 52.34 and 50.47 cm for wither height; 50.56, 51.44 and 51.19
cm for body lengths; 64.84, 64.76 and 64.80 cm for hearth girths; 23.67, 23.89 and 23.32 cm for chest depths; 7.01, 7.00 and 6.83
cm for cannon bone circumference at weaning (P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.001), respectively. Phenotypic correlation coefficients were found
statistically significant (P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.001) between lamb birth weight and lamb weight at different ages, and those weights and some
body measurements. Average values for SAF1 yearling females were 47.36 kg for body weight after shearing, 55.83 kg body weight at prebreeding
season and 2.42 kg for greasy wool production; corresponding averages for KAF1 yearling females were 48.69 kg, 55.62 kg and 2.30
kg, respectively. The results of the study showed that body measurements of crosbred lambs were similiar with Akkaraman lambs and crosbred
yearling females were satisfactory level in terms of some production traits.
