² Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi, Zootekni Anabilim Dalı, ANKARA - Understanding the behavioural characteristics is necessary for the needed environmental conditions of farm animals. Horses are usually kept in individual pens and raised for racing generally. Therefore horses show more abnormal behaviours than other farm animals. Normal behaviors must be known for determination of abnormal behaviors. Knowledge of normal behaviours helps the early detection and treatment of some diseases and management deficiencies. In this paper, some behaviour characteristics of horses were reviewed. Keywords : Horse, foal, behaviour
