1 Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi, Hayvan Besleme ve Beslenme Hastalıkları ABD 31040 Antakya/Hatay - This study was conducted to determine the effects of zinc bacitracin and two different probiotics (ThepaxR, FastrackR) on body weight gain, feed efficiency, dressing percentages, small intestinal track and abdominal fat weight and blood cholesterol levels of broiler chickens.

In this experiment, 250 day-old Ross PM3 broiler chicks were used. They were divided into ten groups, one was control and the others were experimental. While control group was fed unsupplemented basal diet, experimental groups were fed with 0.05% and 0.10% ThepaxR, 0.16% and 0.20% FastrackR, 0.01% zinc bacitracin and combination of these two probiotics with two different levels of zinc bacitracin, respectively. Experiment period was 49 days.

As a result of this study; effects of these two probiotics, antibiotic and combination of them on broiler live weight gain, feed consumption, feed efficiency, small intestinal track weight and blood cholesterol levels weren`t statistically significant than control (P>0.05). Dressing percentage was significantly higher in experimental groups than the control group. ThepaxR and zinc bacitracin increased abdominal fat weight. FastrackR did not affect abdominal fat weight significantly. Keywords : Broiler, Probiotics, Antibiotics, Performance, Diet
