Camel breeding in Anatolia and camel wrestles

- Camels were used for many years, freight forwarding and transportation. Nowaday it breeds for sport and show. In Turkey the main aim of the camel breeding is for wrestling. As an ancient Turkish tradition the camel wresting carried out regularly in Western Anatolia every year between December and March. The wresting is followed by a many people and included many ceremonies. Wearing `havut` to `Tülü`s and preparing them for wresting are some of this ceremonies. The ornomentation on wresting day and conforting the audience in order to show Tülü`s power and ability is complety a festival. The audiences come from long distance to follow this activitis and the camel ownwers are feed and take care of their camels only to join this wresting.
